I have been to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Stadium today and yesterday for athletics and the Aquatic Centre for the swimming, yesterday it was the Diamond League athletics very good crowd, and first class competitors didn't quiet have the likes of Usain an Bolt but Jessica Ennis Dina Asher-Smith Shara Proctor are very good stand ins. And the French poll vault star Renaud Lavillenie also. Very good day in a very good Stadium, Today I went to the Paralympic swimming quiet good crowd and great swimmers on view the capacity has been greatly reduced but atmosphere still noisy GB won against rest of the World 205-197 so all good, nice to see Elle Simmonds swim again. From there went to athletics stadium for Paralympic Games the last event to be held there before the old track is ripped up which is sad, but West Ham calls, Some great athletes there today David Weir, Hana Cockcroft, Sophie Hann, Richard Whitehead, Jonnie Peacock, and some big overseas stars as well. The weather spoilt it a bit but the rather small crowd soon warmed up with the performances 1st & 2rd for Whitehead and Hanson in the 200metres wins for Sophie Hann and Hannah Cockcroft, Not so good for Weir & Peacock though ;-( nice to see Disabled athletics getting a bigger showing in MSM! All in all a very entertaining couple of days Chris Lee
