Does anyone remember the Horns Pub opposite Shoreditch Church used to have live groups and was opened till midnight some days which in the 70s was rare, we used to go there Saturday nights listen to the group have a good drink then walk to Liverpool Station get a train from there to Seven Kings and go in the Lacey Lady till 2ish. Later the Horns used to have strippers at lunchtime got a lot of city workers in, don't know what happened then or if its still open anyone help? Chris Lee
I don't know what to say, suppose stuck in the 70s but moving on up but is it worth the trouble? perhaps my hits will double !

Queen Elizabeth II Park
I have been to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Stadium today and yesterday for athletics and the Aquatic Centre for the swimming, yesterday it was the Diamond League athletics very good crowd, and first class competitors didn't quiet have the likes of Usain an Bolt but Jessica Ennis Dina Asher-Smith Shara Proctor are very good stand ins. And the French poll vault star Renaud Lavillenie also. Very good day in a very good Stadium, Today I went to the Paralympic swimming quiet good crowd and great swimmers on view the capacity has been greatly reduced but atmosphere still noisy GB won against rest of the World 205-197 so all good, nice to see Elle Simmonds swim again. From there went to athletics stadium for Paralympic Games the last event to be held there before the old track is ripped up which is sad, but West Ham calls, Some great athletes there today David Weir, Hana Cockcroft, Sophie Hann, Richard Whitehead, Jonnie Peacock, and some big overseas stars as well. The weather spoilt it a bit but the rather small crowd soon warmed up with the performances 1st & 2rd for Whitehead and Hanson in the 200metres wins for Sophie Hann and Hannah Cockcroft, Not so good for Weir & Peacock though ;-( nice to see Disabled athletics getting a bigger showing in MSM! All in all a very entertaining couple of days Chris Lee

Bomber Cameron
So has Cameron found his balls? over Islamic Terrorism or as usual his words are just that words, he knows he wont get attack past the HOC re #SNP and if he did what are we going to bomb them with? The 8 aging Tornados in Cyprus? as for tanks and troops on the ground you scrapped them all mate, as for closing Mosques talking to Proto Jihadists getting moderate muslims to inform on extremists. Sorry but none of it rings true police cant keep track of the extremists now with less men they have no chance, he must know that while there is an Islamic supporter fellow traveller? in the White House US isn't going to do much more than talk all in all the West is F...ed Chris Lee

Just a short rant on how a platform Twitter so great for intelligent interaction seems to disappear up its own timeline sometimes, people so quick to mob some celeb who might say something they believe but aint PC. But same people? never engage in general conversations and try to persuade us why they just bully by weight of numbers the poor celeb into a grovelling apology re Prof Hunt and the guy who landed the probe on Comet. After all that what Iam really saying is why cant I get a good argument going today? ;-) Bye Chris Lee

Black Taxis
Chattanooga Tennessee
The "Lone Wolf" favorite MSM words attack that killed 4 US Marines must surely make Obama and the West rethink their policy against Islamic State. Just containing them in Syria and Iraq allows their message of Jihad against the West to be reinforced in the minds of recruits in the West when they see Allies being unable to push them out of occupied territory. And makes it attractive for some to want to join IS their terrorists dont need to leave the Middle East to fight the Kaffir when they have a fifth colunm in place re London Paris Boston Belgium. Islamic State needs to be destroyed where they are now even if it means boots on the ground Arab or Western? other wise Iraq Syria and other Countries? will fall to Islamic State. Chris Lee

Anniversary Games
Received my tickets for Anniversary Games Athletics on 25/26 July and Disabled Swimming morning of 26th Emailed from Ticketmaster very efficient, went to the Aquatic Centre in 2012 to see the Disabled Swimming then. It was very good think it will be same this time even if building is smaller, will be interesting to see the Queen Elizabeth II Stadium now its been reduced in size, Wonder if it will still be as impressive as in 2012 bit sad perhaps? The events do not seem to be getting a lot of Publicity in MSM hope this blog helps a bit to correct that. Chris Lee

Cycle Stupid Highways
Johnson and TFL have started work on the Embankment "Highway" and has contrived to mess up traffic for miles around and thats before it has opened. The one that has opened on the Oval to Vauxhall has managed to mess up traffic yet be mostly unused most of the day! then there is the roundabout removal at Elephant an Castle that is a regular guest on traffic reports. This one seems to cause trouble even at the dead of night, Johnsons mad ideas will be the death of Londons road traffic which is probably his and the mad TFL traffic managers have in "mind" After finishing with their #CycleStupidHighways they are going to make Tottenham Court Road Buses and cycles only how the hell are Black Taxis going to get Ill and Disabled to UCLH or the Tube Stations in that area apparently Tavistock Sqare has been altered for the worst.. Then there are plans to make Oxford Street pedestrian only with no idea how people are to get there except for jam packed public transport. It not traffic planning its an attack on motorised vechicles Johnsons Mayoral Legasy? Chris Lee

Our Metro Elites #TFL Boris Tories hate the Black Taxi Drivers for being too Working Class too Patriotic and voicing the views of the majority of British people. They want to force Black Cabs out of business by encougaging the growth of #UBER who are undercutting fares at the moment, If #TFL force Cabs to go electric will they also make #UBER do the same? no chance, Wonder what the opinion of prospective Mayors is regarding Taxis in London? cant imagine loads of tourists photographing silver Prius's drivers spitting at gay people and bannig seeing eye dogs? We shall see!
